Toni Kroos's contract at Real Madrid expires in 2023 and the club believe that it is unlikely that the German will continue at the club, Sergio Santos of Relevo reports.
The 32-year-old considers early retirement as he wants to leave on a high note. Kroos will make a decision based on this physical level towards the end of the season.
Real Madrid would be happy to have Toni for another year and are ready to offer him an extension. However, they also respect the midfielder's right to decide.
Kroos has had a great start to the 2022/23 season, putting up a masterful performance in the UEFA Super Cup. He is expected to remain a starter this term.
